In the 1960s, the people of Houston rallied to President John F. Kennedy’s call to put a man on the moon before the end of the decade. Ever since, Houston has remained proudly the center of America’s human space endeavors.

The technology that we enjoy today began with this push toward the stars. It has become commonplace in our homes, schools, and businesses. Some people have embraced it, while others fear the changes that such advancement may bring.

Is there a path that cultivates the spirit while remaining in harmony with progress and scientific knowledge? YES, there is!

Master Sotaesan addressed the congregation, "The reason people want to know the Way is to be able to apply it when needed. If you don't know how to apply it in necessary situations, you might as well not know it at all. What benefit would there be?" He then held up the fan he was holding and said, "I may have this fan, but if I don't know to use it when it's hot, what value will there be in having a fan?"
